Have one day in Miami before a cruise?
Here are some ideas on how to spend your time (and mostly where to eat!) during your pre-cruise stay in Miami.
Enjoy!
Exploring Miami Before a Cruise
Miami is a great port to sail out of because, well… Miami people!
There is so much to see, do, and eat in the city that if you can stretch your pto and budget for more than the night before your cruise, you can have a really great time in this city.

Here’s a sum-up of how we did it on a budget before our last cruise out of PortMiami.
Where We Stayed
We stayed at Hyatt Regency Miami which is conveniently located in Downtown Miami, a short walk from Brickell in one direction and Bayfront Park in the other, where you can geek out on cruise ship spotting.

Where We Ate
Food is a big part of our joy and enrichment when traveling as you probably realize from the name we chose for our site, Traveling Through Food.
We love to hit a variety of international cuisines and a combination of iconic, well-known, or trending establishments to see if they are worth the hype as well as discover lesser known understated spots that truly deserve a shout out.

No, we didn’t actually go to Hell’s Kitchen in Miami. Just snapped a pic as we noticed it walking by. :p
