An anecdote about new friends and a box of Nestle Caja Roja Bombones ❤︎
Nestle Caja Roja Chocolates
The last time we moved we had a “welcome visit” from two new friends.
I made some banana bread and frothed up some milk for lattes and we sat around the table chatting and getting to know each other.
It was a casual visit, so I was really touched that they came bearing this box of chocolates!

Inside Nestle Caja Roja
Caja Roja means red box in Spanish.
Here’s a peak inside this box of Nestle’s Chocolates – as you can see, we already ate some before I thought to myself “I want to remember this box of chocolates for a long time”.

Que Bombon Eres Tu?
Okay so I think this is kind of a funny Spanish slang, but mainly you’re wondering what kinds of chocolates are inside this box, right?
Have a look:

You’ve got a bit of everything and there are 2 of every variety except for the very center which is the Creme Caramel.
Buy Someone a Box of Chocolates Today
So when was the last time you bought someone a box of chocolates?
I can’t say I remember, to be honest.
A lot of people think of buying chocolates only on occasions like anniversaries, but this small gesture was really special to me.
In the days to come, each time I ate one of the chocolates (yes, I have the self control to eat them one-by-one) I was reminded of the thoughtful and encouraging little welcome we had.
Sometimes a box of chocolates is more than a box of chocolates. ❤︎
