Hyatt Regency Lisbon
While you technically can travel from the Algarve to Lisbon (and visa versa) on the same day before flying out of Humberto Delgado Airport, we prefer to travel to Lisbon the day before to reduce travel-day stress, if at all possible.
Using our travel credit card points, we booked a one night stay at a really nice hotel in Lisbon — Hyatt Regency Lisboa.

Hotel Location: R. da Junqueira 65, 1300-343 Lisboa, Portugal
Independent Hotel Review
At Traveling Through Food, we share firsthand travel experiences using our own photography and honest opinions. This stay was independently booked and paid for, allowing us to share an unbiased review of the hotel, location, rooms, and amenities.
Standard Twin Room — Free Hotel Stay
On the day we needed to stay overnight in Lisbon, only a standard twin room was available at Hyatt Regency Lisboa, so that’s what we booked with our points!

A Warm Welcome
We received an extra special welcome — a tray of pasteis de nata!

Along with a bottle of Niepoort LBV (late bottled vintage) Port 2018.

This was absolutely lovely and unexpected.

I don’t think this is a standard reception, but it was really cool to arrive to this gift!

Not only were we about to start a long travel day to see family and travel together, but I was also signing off of my corporate job for the last time in a huge leap of faith.

This felt like a nice way to celebrate. :]
In-Room Coffee & Tea
In addition to a hot water kettle for tea, there were coffee pods — 2 regular and 2 decaf.

A tray with 2 espresso cups and 2 larger coffee / tea cups featured Vista Alegre — a historic luxury porcelain and crystal manufacturer based in Ílhavo, Portugal.

And since this is Portugal, a corkscrew was at the ready!
Bathroom
Our standard twin room at Hyatt Regency Lisbon had a spacious, modern, well-lit bathroom.

Available for use were premium body care products from Pharmacopia brand.

And we can’t forget the slippers!

Lisbon Views From the Terrace
The rooms at Hyatt Regency Lisboa have super nice terraces!

The terraces are very spacious with two chairs and a small table.

Immediately below our room was a beautiful garden courtyard.

The plants were so lush and green!

We also were well positioned to have a view of the landmark 25 de Abril Bridge. This suspension bridge connects Lisbon and Almada.

After a long bus ride to Lisbon, we were tired and hungry and opted to order in so we could get to sleep and rest up ahead of an early morning flight.
Idea Ramen Delivery
We ordered Ramen delivery on a BOGO promo from a place called Idea Ramen in Lisbon.
We love how the ramen was delivered!

The ramen noodles and toppings were in the ramen bowl on their own and the broth was packaged separately.

This allows you to pour the hot broth into the soup bowl and prevents spilling during transport.

Idea Ramen Delivery Review: We were really impressed by this delivery Ramen. It was quite tasty despite being delivery. We wanted it spicy so we asked for spicy paste to be added which you can see they accommodated in the photo above.
Standard Queen Room — Our Second Visit
Fast forward a year and a half and we found ourselves needing to stay overnight in Lisbon unexpectedly for medical appointments.
Where could we go at the last minute? Thankfully we had enough points to cover another stay at Hyatt Regency Lisboa.
This time a standard queen room was available, so let’s see how the property is on a follow up visit.

Sitting Area
There was a nice blue chaise lounge and table in the corner.

Bathroom
Once again, a spacious and well-lit, very clean bathroom.

With an interesting enclosed toilet area. :]

Slippers still at the ready!

And the Pharmacopia partnership still going strong.

In-Room Coffee & Tea

Courtyard Views From the Terrace
The same spacious terrace layout as our first visit:

The courtyard is still looking lush.

Our Hyatt Regency Lisbon Review — Would We Stay Here Again?
Well, we have stayed here twice already, haven’t we? ;]
Hyatt Regency Lisbon is a really nice place to stay in Lisbon, Portugal.
The staff are really friendly and down-to-earth. The property is being very well maintained. The rooms are spacious, modern, and clean.
The location is excellent for relaxing by the Tagus River between visits to Lisbon’s best restaurants.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of our short visits both times, we really didn’t get to take full advantage of this hotel’s amenities like their full service spa with sauna, lap pool, and gym or the Icon Rooftop Bar.
But hey you never know, maybe we will be back! ;]
