Meraki Greek Bistro — Downtown Miami
Looking for a taste of Greece while in Miami?
Better yet, looking for a Miami Happy Hour with Greek food?!
Look no further! ;]

Meraki Greek Bistro is a Greek restaurant located in downtown Miami, just a 3 minute walk from Hyatt Regency Miami where we stayed, and even closer to the Knight Center Metromover Station.

Inside the restaurant is absolutely adorable with the classic Santorini blue and white color scheme accented with bougainvilleas.

The restaurant is quite spacious inside and also has outdoor seating available as can be seen in an earlier photo.

The staircase inside the restaurant leads to a lounge that can be reserved for private events.

Beneath the stairs is a thoughtful use of space — a built in wine cellar — with Greek words underneath the stairs including the restaurant’s name Meraki which means “doing something with soul, creativity, or love, and putting a piece of yourself into your work”.

Great to know is that you can order delicious Greek food to go at Meraki.
Someone picked up that brown bag below full of delicious delicacies during our Happy Hour visit.

This place is so cute, even the condiments are housed in a Meraki white picket fence.

Address: 190 SE 1st Ave, Miami, FL 33131
Keep your eyes peeled for their Happy Hour sign on the sidewalk!

Meraki Miami Happy Hour Menu

By the way, at the time of our visit Meraki offered Happy Hour from 4pm – 7pm and a late (drinks only) Happy Hour from 10pm – Close.
What We Ordered
Greek Beer
We were at Meraki for Happy Hour so it only seemed right to order Greek Beers which were 2 for 1.

8th Day by Septem Microbrewery
This was an American IPA style beer.

Mythos
This was a Greek pale lager.

Halloumi Salad — $15
Okay this was not part of the happy hour special, but sometimes you just want a salad, you know? And if said salad could have halloumi …. sold.

Salad Description: Arugula, Spinach, Cranberries, Walnuts, Bacon, Paksimadi, Grilled Halloumi Cheese, Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette

What is Paksimadi anyway? “Paksimadi is a traditional Greek twice-baked bread or rusk that is slowly dried for long-term storage”, so in this case it’s kind of like a Greek crouton.

Dolmades — $7 (Happy Hour Special)
It’s hard to pass up authentic stuffed grape leaves (dolmades) when you see them on a menu.

Greek Appetizer Description: Stuffed grape leaves topped with lemon sauce.

And it’s always nice to take a peek inside:

Keftedes (Homemade Greek Chicken Meatballs) — $7 (Happy Hour Special)

Love me some meatballs, but can’t say I had ever had Greek meatballs!

These Greek Style Grilled Meatballs were homemade, of course. This plate was very filling!

Honey & Sesame Cheese Puffs — $7 (Happy Hour Special)

Photo Description: Triangle shaped Filo puffs stuffed with feta cheese and topped with greek honey and sesame seeds.

Umm.. yes to everything about this!

Baklava
To our surprise, at the end of our meal we were brought a piece of baklava on the house!

Not sure if it was because we had been taking a few photos along the way or what, but it was a really kind gesture.

Not only a kind gesture, but a delicious one to be sure! ;]

Our Review — Would We Go Back?
We would definitely go back to Meraki Greek Bistro in downtown Miami, Florida.

This place was so cute, the food was excellent, and the Happy Hour exceeded expectations!
