Brickell, Miami
One of my favorite things about staying in downtown Miami was getting out and exploring the city on foot after dark.

The Brickell area is especially beautiful at night, when the lights from the surrounding skyscrapers and high-rise buildings shimmer across the water and the whole neighborhood takes on a different atmosphere.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Miami, which made it easy to get out for an evening walk and explore the surrounding area.
With restaurants, cafés, and waterfront views nearby, there was plenty to see along the way and it was surprisingly peaceful.

We always recommend taking in a city from different angles, where possible.
What does that mean? The same space early in the morning, at lunchtime, and after dark can have a totally different atmosphere.
The same can be said with visiting at different times of year — different season, different local events.
Varying these elements presents new ways to experience the same city, the same destination.

Each angle has its own unique beauty.
Instead of rushing to check off the next box on your travel to-do list, or always taking your walk at the same time every day, shake things up!
And when you do, be sure to stop and notice the unique beauty and the local pulse that greet you.
